Believers always have an explanation; half-believers use the explanation as an alternative; non-believers have a lot of explaining to do.

Very interesting... Philosophically and empirically that checks out truism-like; the 'half-believers'' part is intriguing. Bertrand Russell established that the opposite is and should be true in the scientific method and in epistemology.

Were you by chance (mainly) referring to faith/ religious belief?
